Thermoplastic elastomers
Thermoplastic elastomers belong to the elastomer-family of materials. The elastomer-family consists of materials that can be highly expanded by exerting relatively little power. Because of their structure, elastomers have a high retractibility, which means the remaining deformation is very small.
HPU™
A hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane. HPU™ is highly stable in mineral oils and can also be used in water-based hydraulic systems.
HPU™ meets FDA standards. -20 °C/110 °C.
LPU™
LPU™ is a modified polyurethane designed for low temperatures. LPU™ is therefore used, among other things, in demanding climatic conditions.
Unusually high abrasion resistance, low compression set, and high tear strength are typical properties. -50 °C/110 °C.
SPU™
SPU™ contains lubricants, making it highly wear-resistant and the preferred sealing material when low friction is a critical factor. Typical applications include water hydraulics, poorly lubricated systems, or oil-free pneumatics.
Chemical properties similar to HPU™. -20 °C/110 °C.
XHPU™
XHPU™ is a harder variant of HPU™ (60 Shore D) with chemical properties similar to those of HPU™. The material has been specially developed to replace PTFE in sliding ring seals (e.g., K08-D).
XHPU™ offers a longer service life, reduced leakage, and significantly simplified installation. -20 °C/110 °C.
XSPU™
A harder version of SPU™ (57 Shore D), optimized for friction and wear resistance.
XSPU™ replaces PTFE-based materials where low friction is critical, such as in water hydraulics, poorly lubricated systems, etc. – 20 °C / 121 °C.
